The Role:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical BIM Modeler to support the design and coordination of commercial and industrial electrical systems for complex projects nationwide. What You’ll Do:
-
Use BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks) to produce electrical construction drawings “for permit” and “for build”
-
Collaborate with engineers, contractors, architects, and other trades on design coordination and clash detection
-
Support BIM implementation and project coordination workflows
-
Review supplier drawings to ensure design compliance with NEC clearance and project requirements

Manage and organize project design folders and documentation
-
Prepare detailed as-built drawings using field redline markups
-
Assist with developing and maintaining CAD/BIM standards and SOPs
-
Occasionally visit job sites for model verification and coordination meetings
-
Stay updated on software upgrades and recommend tools to improve workflow

(Bonus) Use lighting design tools such as Agi32 where applicable
What We’re Looking For:
-
5+ years of experience in electrical CAD design or electrical construction
-
Degree in CAD Drafting Technologies, Engineering, or completion of an IEC apprenticeship program
-
Proficient in AutoCAD (2018+) and Revit (2017+); familiarity with Navisworks and SKM preferred
-
Strong understanding of electrical systems and NEC standards

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
-
Able to work independently and take ownership of assigned designs

Bonus: Knowledge of sustainable design practices or project management tools
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

This is a desk-based role with occasional site visits
-
Requires regular use of computer equipment and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally

Repetitive wrist motions, speaking, listening, and visual precision required

Must be physically able to perform essential job functions efficiently
